We are thrilled to announce that we are able to reopen our facility this Saturday, 30th October
We have been hard at work updating our COVID safe plans and making sure your facility is sparkling clean and ready for your return. Every team member you meet will have been double jabbed and is making your health and safety our top priority.
There is a lot of detailed government advice and things to be aware of before we open, so please read the below carefully.
As we’ve learned, Government advice can change quickly, so visit this page often to make sure you always have the latest, most complete advice.
FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS RETURNING
GYM
We’re operating as per our usual opening hours, with a maximum capacity of 1 person per 4 square metres. Gym floor bookings are not required.
GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
The first group fitness and aqua classes will return on Wednesday 3rd November.
There will be a few less classes initially but this will ramp up as our team is cleared to return to work. Please note there will be a maximum capacity of 1 person per 4m2. We expect demand to be high for places, so as a courtesy to fellow members please remember to cancel out of classes if you cannot attend. Bookings will be available in the BlueFit Health Club app from 5pm on Friday 29th October.
OUTDOOR POOL
The outdoor pool will open on Wednesday, 3rd November.
OUTDOOR POOL HOURS
The outdoor pool will open on Wednesday, 3rd November.
We will operate with restricted hours in November. They are:
Monday to Friday 5am-8am and 4pm-7pm
Saturdays 6am-8am
The pool may stay open for extended hours on hot weekends based on a 7-day forecast.
Normal outdoor pool operating hours resume from Wednesday, 01 December.
INDOOR POOL
Our indoor pools will be open for lap swimming and Aqua classes from Saturday 30th. Swimming lessons will be returning on Friday, 12th November, more information is below.
SPA / TEAM
The spa will be open from Saturday 30th, however, the steam room will remain closed until we hit the 90% vaccination target, which is predicted to be around 24 November.
LEARN TO SWIM
Swimming Lessons will resume from Friday 12th November. The first swim school direct debit will not be until Friday 19th November. If you need to cancel out of swimming lessons, please do so here asap to ensure you are not debited. Please note that as many of our staff are young, they may have not had their second jab. In addition there is an industry staff shortage due to the continual lockdowns, so individual classes may be delayed in starting. If you’re in one of these classes, we’ll be in contact before lessons resume.
SQUAD
Squad will return as of 3rd November.
Squad lessons will return on Wednesday, with your first payment on Friday, 05 November. If you do not feel ready or are unable to return to swimming lessons please complete our lesson cancellation form.
MEMBERSHIPS
Memberships will be reactivated on Saturday 30th October.
Membership payments will not recommence until Friday 5th November to ensure you have a chance to come in and feel safe and ready to return
MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION
If you’re not yet fully vaccinated, or you don’t quite feel ready to return you can access a one-time free suspension from now until 01 December 2021. At the conclusion of this free suspension your membership will be reactivated. To take up this suspension please click here no later than midnight, Wednesday 3rd November.
If you wish to suspend beyond the 1st December you will need to request a new suspension and it will be subject to our normal suspension terms and conditions.
LEARN TO SWIM CANCELLATIONS
If you’re not fully vaccinated and you have a child enrolled in swimming lessons you will need to make arrangements for a fully vaccinated adult to accompany them to their lessons. Alternatively, you can cancel out of classes or make use of make-ups until you are fully vaccinated. Unfortunately, we cannot hold places and therefore we will not be able to guarantee your child a spot in the program when you become vaccinated or when restrictions ease.
If you need to cancel out of swimming lessons please do so here no later than midnight, 12th November.
RESTRICTIONS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
CHECK IN
It is a requirement to check in via the Victorian Government QR Code. Please show your Green Tick to staff at entry.
VACCINATION STATUS
Everyone aged 16 years and over must have had both shots of your COVID-19 vaccine to enter our facilities. Please show proof at entry. This includes everyone using the facility and/or accompanying children to swimming lessons. The easiest way to show proof of vaccination is to link your COVID-19 digital certificate with the Service Victoria app and show it at check in, but it’s not the only way. The Victorian Government have published a handy guide to proof of vaccination.
Please note our focus is on returning services back to the community and our front line customer service teams are simply following the rules provided by the government. We ask that all patrons respect these rules as we get our local teams back into employment and communities active again.
CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS
Capacities in all areas will be capped at 1 person per 4 square metres. Given the size of our facility we do not expect this to impact our operations greatly, with the exception of limited group fitness numbers.
MASK WEARING
All members and guests over the age of 12 will be required to wear a mask while in the Centre unless you are swimming or are doing strenuous exercise.
GOOD HYGIENE
Social distancing and hygiene measures must be adhered to when visiting the Centre. Remember to always use a towel and wipe down equipment before and after use.
STAY AT HOME IF YOU ARE UNWELL
If you are unwell; or if you are not permitted to attend under the current health orders, please do not attend.
FOLLOW TEAM MEMBER ADVICE
All members and guests are required to follow the direction of our staff or any law enforcement officer.
BE KIND
This is a challenging time for all our customers and staff. We kindly request that you are patient with team members and fellow facility users alike as we all adjust to this new normal.
We appreciate that this is a lot to cover. We will update this page with any additional advice as soon as it becomes available. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us at melton@bluefit.com.au
