The City of Melton consulted our community and found that there was a lack of privacy near the aquatic space windows, preventing some people from enjoying the Melton Waves pools.
Therefore, the council had window art installed to help more people enjoy the indoor pools.
City of Melton Mayor Goran Kesic said the Melton Waves Inclusion Project aimed to welcome people from diverse backgrounds while providing a privacy screen between pool users and pedestrians and road traffic.
The subtle shapes and bright colours wrap around the exterior windows of Melton Waves like a frosted watermark, allowing pool users to look outside while screening them from passers-by.
Mayor Kesic advises “we wanted to provide opportunities for people from all backgrounds to swim in a safe, inclusive and friendly environment.
“Facilities like this enrich the lives of our residents, improve health and wellbeing, and help make our city a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.”
Thank you so much, City of Melton!
